Delete Your UniScribe Account
You can delete your UniScribe account and all of its data at any time. This applies to accounts created on the website and in the UniScribe app for Android and iOS; it is the same account.
In the app
- Open the UniScribe app and sign in.
- Go to Settings › Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
On the web
- Sign in at uniscribe.co.
- Go to Settings.
- In Danger Zone, click Delete Account and confirm.
By email
If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and delete the account.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
You can delete individual recordings and transcripts and keep your account:
- In the app: in Recordings, swipe left on a recording and tap Delete, or open it and choose Delete recording. The audio or video file and its transcript are deleted.
- On the web: open a file's actions menu and choose Delete Transcription to delete the file and its transcript, or Delete Original File to delete only the audio or video file and keep the transcript.
Deleted files and transcripts are removed from our servers within 24 hours and can't be recovered.
What gets deleted when you delete your account
- Your account and profile, including your email address
- All uploaded and recorded audio and video files
- All transcripts, summaries, translations and shared links
- Your remaining minutes and any active subscription, which is canceled
Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. Your data is removed from our servers within 24 hours.
What we may keep
Records we are required to keep by law, such as payment and tax records, are kept for the period the law requires. Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are also recorded by Google or Apple under their own policies.
